How do I transfer my courses from another institution?

King's maintains extensive transfer credit agreements with Alberta post-secondary institutions through the Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer. You can use their site to enter courses from other Alberta post-secondary institutions to see what agreements are in place. Bear in mind that more transfer credit may be available than this system displays, and that there are restrictions based on grades and total transfer credit in a program.

Once you have applied to King's you should submit to us an official transcript for your previous work. For institutions or courses we have not previously reviewed, we may also ask you to submit course outlines and calendar descriptions.

These are reviewed by our faculty to determine if we will grant credit. The criteria we use for this assessment are:

Once this assessment is complete, you will receive an official transfer credit assessment statement. If you would like more information on transfer credit, please contact the Registry Officer.
