After an admission decision, it is normal to send an admission letter to the applicant. To facilitate producing these, CrossRoad has an button on the Admission Application tab. This produces the same export as the Export Merge Data section describes, but does so more directly.
Once pressed the program will ask for a file.
Normally, the operator would select the same file for all the admissions completed on that day. When an existing file is selected, the following dialog is displayed.
To start the first file of the day, Yes should be selected, but subsequently No should be selected. If Yes is selected, the following dialog appears.
This will add an initial record to the export that labels each field.
Once the data is exported, you may use the merge printing functions of Microsoft Word to create admission letters.
If it is preferred to create one letter at a time, the same process can be followed, but overwriting the data file each time.
