There are several RTF (Rich Text Format) files that are used in CrossRoad. They are mostly used to add notes to registration and individual student final exam schedules schedules. They are edited with VOPad.exe, a shortcut to which is placed on your desktop when you install CrossRoad. This program is used because other RTF editing programs, particularly Microsoft Word, produce convoluted and unusable RTF files.
- addnoteX.rtf
- where X is replaced by the number of the term (typically, Fall is 1, Winter is 2, etc.) This note is added to the add/drop reports
- examnote.rtf
- this appears at the bottom of the final exam schedule
- payment.rtf
- This appears on payment receipts when at least one items is a payment arrangement
- REGNOTE.rtf or regnoteX.rtf
- These are notes that appear at the bottom of Course/Fee sheets. REGNOTE.RTF is used if one does not appear for the specific term in question. The X in the others is replaced with the number of the term, which allows quite different notes for each term of the year.
