The Windows Client is updated by

  1. Downloading crossroad.zip from the Updates folder on the FTP server.
  2. Unzip setup.exe from that into the root folder of the CrossRoad data folders. This is named variously on different systems, but is the folder containing the folders in which your current and archive CrossRoad data.
  3. When CrossRoad is started on each client machine, the version of CrossRoad is compared to the version of this setup.exe. If they differ, setup.exe is executed. Note that on some networks, security policies will not permit this. In this case, setup.exe should be run on each client machine.

The CGI Client is updated by

  1. Downloging CR-CGI.zip from the Updates folder on the FTP server.
  2. Unzip CGISetup.exe from this file to a temporary location on your web server.
  3. Run CGISetup.exe on your FTP server. This will ask you for two paths: one for the location of the cgi-bin folder on your webserver, and one for the htdocs folder on that webserver. These will be remembered for subsequent runs of the program.
