COURSE DESCRIPTION: All students with Sociology as a first subject of concentration in the BA program are required to take this course. The seminar is designed to engage students in clarifying the common ground of traditionally distinct social science disciplines. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary concerns.

Prerequisites: Six credits in a designated social science at the 300-level.

THE THEME: Given what I know, how do I situate myself in the world?
(as a social scientifically minded person, a person of belief, and a community citizen/ member of the human species).

  • 3) To develop skills in organizational analysis, research methods and techniques useful for future endeavours in the professional world.
