COURSE OBJECTIVES: | This is a directed reading course, and therefore the specific focus of our study will emerge as you confront the literature itself. During our weekly meetings we will review important background information and then discuss the reading that we will have agreed upon for that day. It is, therefore, ESSENTIAL that you complete the reading assignment for each class. We will read the entire Faerie Queene together, although you should also glance at other smaller selections of Spenser's poetry and prose on your own. |
Required texts, assignments, and grade distributions may vary
from one offering of this course to the next. Please consult
the course instructor for up to date details.
